Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK)
Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) is a multidisciplinary institution of higher education and an efficient actor in education and research, development and innovation (RDI) in the region of South Ostrobothnia in West Finland. Our goal is to be the best university for our students (Vision 2030). The comprehensive education offer in six fields of education, combined with high-quality research, development and innovation services, enables SeAMK to be effective regionally, nationally and internationally.
We currently have about 5,000 students, of which 10% are international degree students. We have approximately 400 employees. Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences is a limited liability company.
At Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, there are four bachelor's degree programs taught in English in International Business, Agri-Food Engineering, Automation Engineering and Nursing. There is one master's degree program in International Business Management. These programs mainly enroll international students.
At SeAMK, we have a lot of students from the countries outside the EU/EEA area, and we think we have a lot of experience for educating global students even though they are not refugees.
The skills /expertise of the key person involved in this project include a long experience in different type of educational and project collaboration also with higher education institutions and students of non-EU/EEA countries. Also, the experience in promoting and implementing integration activities concerning foreign students and their settling down in the region could benefit this project.
